The objectives of ASTWOOD are:
- To develop a strategy paper which serves as base for the public administration for enhancing the use of locally available wood pellets and chips for domestic heating.
- To create an implementation model which is transferable to any other European region.
- To promote the involvement of the regional key-players for the collection of wood and its further processing.
- To enable the regions involved to move towards energy independence and creation of new jobs.
